Halima Namakula considering to contest to represent the elderly in parliament: Halima Namakula considering to contest to represent the elderly in parliament: Namakula on Friday said that she is considering to see if she can contest to represent the elderly in parliament.
Halima Namakula considering to contest to represent the elderly in parliament
First of all, Halima is a celebrity who has been on top for many years. She has maintained her status, her beauty, good looks and above all remained healthy.
This is an achievement, many celebrities either disappear from the scene when they grow old. While others have died of different diseases that normally kill celebs, Halima is still there.
Secondly Halima has always been scandal free. For all the years she has been here in Uganda and the US where she was living some time back. There are no scandals on her name.
This is a big lesson to the current celebrities who think to be on top you have to be scandalous
For Halima the elderly sometimes are ignored by the society, government even by their children and relatives.
She says if elected to parliament she would advocate for the extension of social services to the elderly people.
Confidently she said “am capable to represent the elderly in this country”.
While appearing on Bukedde TV’s Full Doze, the confident Halima is to consult her people first. Those were her words.
She continues “i believe am the right person for that position”.
If i contest for this post i know i will get the required votes to take me to parliament.
However Namakula did not declare which party she is to side with. So let us wait and see.
The government confirmed five new positions to have representation in parliament. And among them is what Halima wants to contest for.
Ndikaddiwa Nawe is the latest song for Halima and she is currently promoting it. It is indeed a good song where she praises a lover who has been there for her through tough times
Her new song is worth it, please look for it.
