Mustafa Kizza Uganda’s finest defender signs for Montreal Impact: Mustafa Kizza Uganda’s finest defender signs for Montreal Impact: US based club Montreal Impact has announced the signing of Uganda international defender Mustafa Kizza.

Montreal sporting director Olivier Renard said Mustafa Kizza is a modern attacking left back. Kizza has great crossing abilities and huge potential. He is good on free-kicks and his height is vital on set pieces.

Renard adds that they are really happy to acquire one of the best young players from Uganda.

Kizza gets a two year contract with the club with an option of three years plus. The deal will start Aug. 12 this year.

Mustafa will remain with his club KCCA in the Uganda Premier League, on loan from the Impact. This is because of COVID-19, thus will not be taking an international spot on the roster. Montreal has the option to call him back if the global health situation improves.

Who is Mustafa Kizza

In 2017, Kizza was unveiled at KCCA ground, Lugogo from Kibuli SS at 17 years. Kizza made his senior debut for Kampala Capital City Authority against Bright Stars FC

He played 23 matches in the season where KCCA won the league.

In 2018-19 season Kizza had 26 assists. With 16 in UPL, 6 in Caf, 4 Uganda Cup and scored 2 goals in the season.

National Team

He made his debut on 6 December 2017 against Zambia U20 at Arthur Davis Stadium, Kitwe.

And He played for Uganda U20 during the COSAFA U-20 Tournament which was in Zambia in 2017. 

He made his debut on 14 November 2018 against South Sudan U23 at Star Times Stadium Lugogo. 

Kizza scored his first goal under this level, Uganda U23 won the game 1–0.

Uganda national football team

He made his senior national team debut on 1 June 2019 against Lesotho in COSAFA 2019 which made him to be one youngest players on the team.
