The explosion in the Lebanese capital killed at least 100 people and injured several thousands. Reports are saying over 300,000 have no shelter.

According to preliminary reports, the tragedy was due to 2,750 tonnes of ammonium nitrate. This explosive chemical compound was at the port for some years.

Reports are saying that it is the one that blasted to cause the damage.

The mayor of Beirut city says that it is like the Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombings of 1945.

Looking at the blast damage, seismic signals and shockwave, the tragedy must have yielded over 500 tonnes.

Experts are saying it is one of the biggest blasts in of this 21st century. Some claim the explosion was like a nuclear strike, experts say it was rather a chemical one.

Lebanese Prime Minister Hassan Diab previously blamed the devastating blast on a huge stockpile of ammonium nitrate. This is an agricultural fertilizer which they have been keeping at the airport since 2014.

The explosion inflicted damage of over 10 billion on the city according to the early estimates. Surprisingly others are comparing it to an earthquake of 3.3-magnitude.

But people miles away from the blast site have been feeling the effects of the blast.

Early suspicions

People were saying it is Israel which was behind this but they were quick to distance themselves from it.

Secondly people said it was Islamic groups which did this, but non has come out to take responsibility.

Of recent Israel has been carrying out air strikes in the neighboring Lebanon.

Many people thought it was a bomb looking at its devastating effects. But reports so far are talking of different causes. So the government of Lebanon is telling people not to bring their conspiracies on this.

And this is happening in a country which is having political instabilities and infightings.

Surprisingly most middle east countries are not stable because of different reasons.
