Bebe Cool in COVID19 scare as Gov’t says his man ‘Shortcut’ succumbed to coronavirus: Bebe Cool in COVID19 scare as Gov’t says his man ‘Shortcut’ succumbed to coronavirus:
Gagamel boss Moses Ssali aka Bebe Cool was part of the mourners at the burial of Shortcut. The 32-year-old Allan Masembe aka Shortcut has been a singer and key member of Gagamel Crew. Mourners converged at Kyambogo village Kayanja Parish in Lwankoni Sub County Kyotera district to bless the service.
And after long hospitalization at Nsambya, Allan took his last breath due to undisclosed cause. Uganda funeral services (UFS) sraffers carried the body for burial in Kyotera’s Lwankoni Sub County. And everything was going on well until when Kyotera district COVID19 Surveillance Team came in. The team led by Dr. Edward Muwanga and Dr. Joachim Lubega Wasswa arrived driving in a long convoy of MoH vehicles. Hence creating dramatic scenes at the burial.
Dr. Muwanga immediately grabbed the microphone and announced that the father of 2 young males, had died from Coronavirus. And this sent everyone scampering for their lives. Mourners, who had just received food, threw away the plates and each fled back to their homes. However Dr. Muwanga insisted that everybody who had been close to the deceased is to be in quarantine. This includes Mr. Cool and his wife Zuena also are to be in quarantine.

More so Dr. Muwanga announce that even UFS employees also were to be in quarantine and screened. And this creates more anxiety among villagers with many elderly women pleading for pardon.
Mr. Cool, seemingly intrigued, retreated and remained seated in his car. Eventually MoH teams were seen spraying and sanitizing UFS and Gagamel Crew members. And later directed them to drive with them back to Kampala for better management.
While all this melee went on, Mr. Cool was busy on phone perhaps calling up big people in Kampala to come to his rescue, eyewitness say.
The medical teams from the MoH in Kampala and the Kyotera medical teams eventually took over the rest of the burial having cleared away a large crowd of mourners that had initiially gathered.
But this was the first officially recorded COVID19 victim to be buried in the entire Kyotera district. Since March when things first soured up for this country. Dr. Muwanga says.
