MP Lutamaguzi: narrates how he was about to die in the prison: MP Lutamaguzi: narrates how he was about to die in the prison:
Nakaseke South MP, Paul Lutamaguzi, narrates how Kitalya Maximum Security Prison is a Guantanamo Bay of sorts. He was under detation for more than a week in the same prison.
Lutamaguzi and 21 supporters were recently on remand in prison after their arrest for allegedly violating Covid-19 guidelines.
Appearing on local TV, on Sunday, Lutamaguzi went on to narrate his ordeal.
“I was abducted and my car was shot at and that was between Luwero and Ssemuto. The DPC of Nakaseke Sulait Kitaka and his aide beat me seriously. Even my money was stolen,”Lutamaguzi recounts.

While the police claim the legislator was planning to convene a meeting near Semuto roundabout in Semuto Town Council. Lutamaguzi denies any plan of holding a gathering.
Surprisingly, “I was not planning to hold any gathering. I was due to deliver road culverts in fulfillment of an earlier pledge to the people of Semuto town. I even wonder how the police came up with that statement”he says.
“But those who received the order to arrest me meant to kill me that day. I was in the prison where I spent over one week in a terrible environment,”he adds.
Lastly, I call upon all stake holders to visit Kitalya Maximum Security Prison. Because many people are on the last point of their life behind bars.
