Facts on why Chameleon was left out for Ssebagala on Mayorship
Why he was left out, opinion!
Firstly, the singer was among the group that helped president Museveni to win elections in 2016. This was through the song Tuboga naawe that was catchy in the campaigns. After the elections the singer got misunderstandings with his funs basically in Kampala. However the funs turned back after sometime.
Secondly, a few years Chameleon announced that is a DP member. And he was unveiled by DP and appointed national mobilizer.
Thirdly, with in a space of not less than 5 months the same Chameleon changed colour again from Green to Red. He was unveiled with other DP Bloc members at NUP offices in Kamwokya.
However, this is not only in the political parties but also in the religion wing. Some years back chameleon changed from catholic to Muslim. But later turned back to his original religion (catholic). So with this kind of a person, NUP is not sure whether is really changed or not.
But his argument is that the people of Kampala are tired of old leadership! and he comes to breathe change into the Lord Mayor’s office.
It is not clear whether chameleon intends to proceed on the independent ticket or his race comes to an abrupt end.
