Now the National Unity Platform NUP has started investigations on some of the party officials. Surprisingly, they accuse them (officials) of getting money from aspirants in order to give them party flag among others.

However, following the allegations from the candidates who lost during NUP vetting process! they accuse some of the party officials of being corrupt and biased.

And those on accusation list include, Fred Nyanzi the coordinator of informal sector in the party. Shockingly, the bitter party members accuse Nyanzi and other officials of giving flag to people who are close to them.

But the party spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi, calls upon all members claiming of corruption to produce evidence. He says this will help them ease the process of investigation.

Ssenyonyi adds, investigations are already ongoing to get officials who have been getting money from the candidates. ”Those with evidence should bring because such information will help us to deal with question of corruption. We want to get to the bottom of these things there might be something.” he says.

While speaking to journalists yesterday, Nyanzi distanced himself from the allegations! adding that some of the candidates who were not given cards had the hidden agendas of tarnishing the name of the party.

The allegations are fake, what I can tell you is that no person got money from any candidate to give out party cards, Nyanzi notes.

Surprisingly, Nyanzi continue saying that some of these members have been bribed to work against party activities. ”Some words are just to derail our struggle but we shall go on until we get it. He urges all NUP supporters not to follow fake news.
