As the country is remaining with only four months to 2021 general elections. Different political parties are busy organizing to see their way through the election.
However, the Election Management Committee of the National Unity Platform has put out the list of potential candidates. These candidates will hold the NUP flag for the position of member of parliament for various constituencies in central region.
surprisingly, NUP has different characters in different parts of central region as flag bearers. Which many have seen as a positive move because all categories are represented. The list include Shamaim Malende for Kampala women MP, Joel Ssenyonyi for Nakawa East! Aloysius Mukasa for Rubaga south and Fred Nyanzi Ssentamu for Kampala central. These are all waiting for any challenge in 2021 general election.
But a number of artists, radio personalities and others have not managed to make it on the list. And one of them is a radio presenter and comedian Patricko Mujuuka; who is out in favor of Simbwa Fred for Nakifuma county. However, Amelia master piece Hilary Kiyaga aka Hiderman secured a card for Mawookota North.

Credible sources indicate that some positions are pending for re-evaluation on account of different reasons. And the process will be complete in the next 48 hours. They include Rubaga North, Kawempe North, Kawempe South, Makindye West! Busiro South, Masaka Women and Bujumba county in Kalangala District.
However, the party Election management Committee has tried to be smart with the process. But many candidates who don’t have party cards are not Okay with the process. They say that there is corruption and favoritism in the way they give out cards.
But NUP spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi trashed the allegations from the lost candidates. And argued them to bring their issues with evidence.
